The powerful rechargeable Fenix BC22R bicycle light provides a luminous flux of up to 1400 lumens (ANSI) with a beam distance of up to 156 meters.
The lamp uses specially shaped optics that direct the light only forwards and sideways, not upwards. The light cone is partially cut from above, preventing glare for other drivers and pedestrians. At the same time, the optics create a very wide light beam, continuously illuminating the entire area in front of the bike, covering even places that ordinary bicycle lights cannot reach. The Fenix BC22R is therefore suitable not only for use on roads and bike paths but also handles trail lighting perfectly.
The mount design allows for quick installation and removal of the light from the handlebars without tools. The light can also be quickly removed from the mount and used as a high-performance hand flashlight.
The unique design allows the light to be mounted upside down (above or below the handlebars), where the light cone remains cut from above, and you can still see the control and indicators on the light. The package also includes an adapter for GoPro mounting. Fenix bike lights provide quality lighting for night training, daily commuting, and endurance races.
All lamp parameters (luminous flux, battery runtime, waterproofing, and afterglow) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
Using a Bicycle Light
From the factory, there may be an insulating cap inside the lamp on the battery. Before first use, remove it from the battery.
To turn the light on or off, hold the side button for about 0.5 seconds. The light always turns on in the last set mode (except for flashing). You can switch to other power levels at any time during operation by pressing the button. To switch to flashing mode, hold the button for 1.2 seconds with the light on.
Battery Capacity Indication
With the lamp off, briefly press the button once, and the indicator LED in the button will light up for three seconds. Green lighting or flashing means the battery is more than 50% charged, while red lighting or flashing means it is 50% or less. The indicator LED also lights up when the light is on, so you are constantly informed about the battery status while riding.
Warning About a Discharged Battery
If the battery capacity falls below a safe level, the lamp will automatically switch to lower power modes to ensure the longest possible endurance (the lamp cannot then be switched to higher modes). If the battery is critically discharged, the button will start flashing red. In this case, we recommend charging the lamp as soon as possible to prevent the built-in protection electronics from turning off, which would cause the light to go out.
Intelligent Overheating Protection
A large amount of heat can accumulate during long-term use of the lamp at high power modes. When the lamp reaches a temperature of 60°C or higher, it will automatically reduce the output by a few lumens to lower the temperature. Once the temperature drops below 60°C, the performance will gradually increase again.
