The holy grail of off trail running is to provide both stability and flexibility, but to make a midsole stable yet soft has so far proven too difficult for PD teams world-wide. 

Zeal2 is the second generation of Zeal, and apart from an upper material update it's the same winning concepts as before. Upper material is now Kevlar reinforced, which makes it even stronger and smoother without adding any weight. To further increase the durability the upper is fastened with a Stitch-and-turn technique to protect the thread. 

However, it is the midsole construction, and the HGMS2 technology (Holy Grail Midsole Soft and Stable - technology), that is the true innovation. Zeal provides torsional stability but is still flexible with a soft and smooth running feeling, this is the impossible combo, made reality through the moulded midsole cradle on the interior side of the shoe. The midsole not only adds superb fit, it also turns into the reinforcement protecting the foot in serious terrain.
