Rossignol X-IUM SKATING are racing cross-country skis designed for free technique ("skating"). They are an ideal choice for experienced skiers and racers.

They excel in a wide range of conditions thanks to the universal flexibility and flex of the skis. The lightweight construction with a Nomex® Honeycomb core, poplar wood on the sides and a carbon layer ensures the ideal transmission of energy and power for the best possible performance.

The active upper layer of the Activ Cap skis helps improve the stability of the skis. The ski is torsionally stronger but at the same time it follows the terrain well and offers an excellent glide. The IFP Integrated Pad and Binding System is used to mount the binding.

It contains a pad built into the ski, which is compatible with different types of TURNAMIC® bindings. This binding system does not limit the flexibility of the skis and enables ideal energy transfer. The binding can be easily moved along the pad, which makes it possible to adapt the behavior of the skis to different snow conditions or preferences of the skier.

Key Features:

  • COBRA CUTOUT: The ski cutout is wider at the front of the ski for extra stable and smooth skating. In the last phase of the slide, it helps to return to the path of movement more quickly.
  • NOMEX CORE: Ultra-light aramid fibers in a hexagonal shape provide the highest strength-to-weight ratio for peak performance at the elite level.
  • CARBON HM PROFILE: The cross-country skis are reinforced with a carbon layer along the entire length, which maximizes energy and performance while keeping the weight as low as possible.
  • ACTIV CAP: The surface layer of the cross-country ski in combination with properly adapted glass fiber provides increased torsional stiffness, while the longitudinal bend of the cross-country ski is softer for good pad copying and good sliding even on uneven terrain.
  • DOUBLE GROOVE: The double groove on the slide increases stability and direction control when skating.
  • EXTENDED EDGE: Protruding edges to the side. The skates are thus more stable in keeping direction when riding on edges as well as when skating.
