Rise above expectations and celebrate the relentless ambition that has driven champions in the Giro d'Italia for over a century. Bianchi has created a limited edition of unique Specialissima frame kits to mark 105 enthralling editions of the Giro.
To honour the number of editions, we have built just 105 of this Specialissima frame, painted to reflect the wonders of Italy, the great beauty. The extraordinary Giro d'Italia aesthetic creates an immediate connection between Italy's greatest race and this awesome example of frame design.
The Specialissima Giro105 frame is designed to make one of the rarest bikes in the world, with ownership confering a place in a rarefied category of exacting cyclists and collectors who celebrate the sport. Every frame will be numbered on the top tube, from 001 to 105, further emphasising the unique nature of your bike.
And Specialissima XXX could be yours!
The detailing on the fork and frame is picked out in Bianchi's own specially-created shade of Enrosadira. It is the colour of light in the Dolomites at dawn or dusk, when the peaks seem to blaze in reds, golds and especially pink: the colour of the Giro.
Owners of this limitededition bike will receive a few special mementos to celebrate the 105th Giro, and the Specialissima Giro105 created for it. An exclusive alloy member's card, featuring your Specialissima Giro105's frame number will also be included. This is a declaration of the purely limited number of frames made to this specification and your integration into part of Bianchi's history.
So welcome to the 105 CLUB!
Completely new Specialissima. Thanks to its refurbished design it has become universal racing bike – All-Rounder
Specialissima stands on the top of Bianchi range through its history as well as utilized technologies offered by Bianchi. Up to now it used to be a climbing specialist bike aiming to achieve the best balance of weight and stiffness. New Specialissima keeps its low weight and classic look despite of new aero frame features or disc brakes. It also moves from category of pure climbing specialist bikes into more and more popular category of universal racing bikes.
Main new Specialissima features:
Aerodynamics – Specialissima has adopted several aero features from Oltre model, for example fork integrated into bottom of head tube, integrated seat clamp, more aggressive aero head tube and last but not least profiling of all frame tubes.
ACR integration – Specialissima follows Oltre with integration of all bowdens and electronic shifting cables inside the handlebars and frame thanks to ACR system by FSA. It’s up to you then to choose between classic style handlebars and stem or integrated Vision Metron cockpit. Mechanical shifting is routed standard way to ensure smoothless operation, which wouldn’t be possible with sharp bendings of bowdens.
Weight to stifness ratio – the main Specialissima feature thanks to which climbing the steepest mountain passes or sprinting to the finish becomes effective as much as possible. Weight of the frame designed for disc brakes usage and Countervail® ultralight formula technology reaches 750g.
Comfort and stability – 28 mm wide tyres and Countervail® ultralight formula technology ensure absorption of 80% of vibrations transferred to your body and thus minimize loss of your energy. It also supports bike stability in high speed descents – because it is not enough to climb the uphill as the best if that is followed by difficult downhill! And it is exactly the downhills, where you appreciate Specialissima with disc brakes offering incomparable brakes modulation and braking efficiency under any weather conditions.
